Yesterday, I received an e-mail from a wonderful woman who lives in Japan! She said that when she went to church last Sunday, she met a brand new missionary, fresh from the MTC, by the last name of MUMFORD.
She said that he must still be suffering just a little bit from jet lag, as he had a hard time keeping his eyes focused during Sacrament meeting, and he nodded frequently in agreement with the speaker's points.
She is a very kind woman who also has a son currently serving a mission, in Sapporo, Japan. (Martin met him in the MTC) She promised to look out for Martin, and have him over for dinner soon.
I am so grateful for all the missionary moms out there, who not only support thier own missionary sons and daughters, but also serve as surrogate moms to the missionaries who pass through their area.
Hurray for missionary moms!
